As indicated previously, this series is dedicated to “The Women I Love;” my wife Georgia and our three daughters Michelle, Lori and Amber.
This post will focus on our oldest and first born, Michelle. Sometimes I tell Michelle that she is My Biggest Little Girl, because she is the oldest. Although they are all grown women, in my heart, they are still all my little girls.
Here is one of my favorite photos of Michelle. It is on the wall of our bedroom next to my side of the bed and is positioned with similar photos of her sisters Lori and Amber in the same frame. Each night when I go to bed and again when I wake up in the morning, I look at them and think about how much I love them all.
Here is Georgia holding Michelle after we moved to a two bedroom apartment in Orange, California. The photos that follows shows her “playing sock” with our dog Fluffy and her sitting up straight as a board in front of her dresser.
Michelle just loved playing with the rattle hammer shown in the photo below. Sometimes she would get so excited banging it on the floor that she would fall over.
Here she is enjoying a sunny day in front of our first house, in Orange. The little white cat in the third one, was Snowball, who lived next door. Michelle and Snowball were real buddies.
Looks like Michelle had a birthday in this photo. She had so much fun she was totally exhausted. Wish I could find the photo of her fast asleep with her face in her bowl of ice cream and cake.
Holidays are great, especially for children. Here are some shots of “My Biggest Little Girl at Easter, Halloween and Christmas.
Michelle was so excited about losing her first tooth, although she fiddled with it for days before she finally worked it loose. She is wearing one of her favorite dresses. Georgia made similar dresses for her and Lori, with the patterns reversed so they would be unique. Since they were real buddies, they just loved those dresses.
Michelle rode her first two-wheeler up and down the sidewalk for many weeks with her training wheels. I finally took them off and gave her a big push. She rod up and down the street for quite a while, because she was afraid she would fall when she stopped. And she did.
A few years makes a big difference. What a pretty girl she is turning out to be. A happy one too.
Here is Michelle with our kitty Dudley when we lived in Novato, California. She was in High School then.
Michelle was so proud when she graduated from Cal State University, San Jose. So were her younger sisters, and of course her parents.
A few years after Kyle was born, Michelle and her family moved a few times, and then finally ended-up far from us when they settled in Illinois. The photo below was taken during the sister reunion mentioned in Part#1 of this series. It was so good to have her home again.
This was taken during a visit to Plainfield, Illinois. As you can see, Kyle now has a little brother, Tyler.
The first photo below was taken during a visit from Georgia, followed by one taken when Michelle visited her sister Amber. She is holding her niece Megan.
I wish my Biggest Little Girl lived closer so I could give her hugs and kisses more often. Now that I am retired, we’ll have to see what we can do about that.
