I want an iPad, but don’t think it is wise to buy the first release of anything. Especially, since the product being released on April 3rd has known functionality issues.
This is the year of the tablet computer, so we can expect many competitive offerings, which will make it harder to decide which one to eventually buy.
This video shows what we can expect in the not too distant future. I believe table computers will be great, assuming magazine publishers that do it right. It could be good for newspapers too, if they play their cards right.
