Eric Stoltz as the Original Marty McFly
Michael J. Fox is so pivotal to the Back to the Future ensemble it’s hard to believe he was the second choice to play Marty Mcfly.
As strange as it seems, here is some original footage of him playing Marty to prove it. (It is at the end of the first clip.)
Stoltz’s resemblance to Fox is uncanny, and he’s a great actor, but it’s clear that Zemeckis made the right call:
