I retired a little over a year ago and can attest to the fact that a lot of employees screw around and waste time when they are supposed to be working. This is one of my biggest pet peeves. I can truly say I didn’t do personal business or waste time surfing the Internet like many employees do. The chart below is accurate according to my personal observations. To make sure people who worked for me didn’t screw around, I arranged our workspace so I could see their computer monitors. I caught one guy on Facebook and told him that when it came time for layoffs, screw-offs go to the top of the list.
