On the Morning of May 18th 2011 these people noticed a deer in their yard that appeared to be frantically looking for something in the rocks that form a wall on their property line.

When they first went out with their neighbors, they didn’t see anything, but the deer wouldn’t leave their yard. They went back to their house and watched, then after a few minutes the deer came back.

They then went out to the area the deer was concentrating on and could hear a baby fawn crying in the rocks. They moved some of the rocks, along with some smaller boulders and saw a baby fawn’s face in the rocks.

It had apparently fallen in or crawled in through one of the gaps and was trapped. The larger boulders were too heavy to move and they didn’t want to have the rocks cave in on the baby deer.

They finally called the Clark County Fire District 3. The B Shift team came out and they were able to move the larger rocks out of the way enough with the Jaws of Life so they could reach in a pull the baby fawn out and it could be reunited with its momma.

The fawn was probably stuck in their most of the night, so quickly went to nurse it’s momma.

One of their neighbors took some video clips of the fire department’s rescue.

They edited the clips into this short clip. After sharing it with some friend they thought that it was just too cute not to share with more people, so their neighbor agreed have it uploaded to YouTube.
