The story behind this painting is that a dad has just completed training for the Fire Department of New York and it was his first day on the job.
He was responding to his first fire and it turned out to be at his wife’s friends house.
His wife and daughter were there and he realized his daughter was still in the building.
When he went in to get her the roof started collapsing.
He made it down to the second floor and jumped out the window to save his very own daughters life.
He is truly a hero, like all the hero’s who went into the World Trade Center to help others and lost their own lives in the process.
